About Nancy Larson

I have been a self-employed custom jewelry designer and goldsmith for 38 years in beautiful Essex, Massachusetts.

Over the years I have longed for a new outlet for my artistic expression. I have experimented with various painting mediums and other forms of craft.

Recently, I have been drawn to the world of expressive abstract painting. I have begun painting in gouache and acrylics with occasional mixed media elements. New to this medium, I have been enamoured with all the possibilities that can be discovered by color mixing and mark making.

Painting is how I think out loud while color dominates my inner being. My soul thrives on creating in many different forms. Painting takes away the stresses and worries of my daily life. Color excites me as does the freedom that abstract painting provides. I enjoy going to the studio to see what magic happens!
